Thank you for stopping by and checking out the new website/blog! For those of you that stumbled in here on accident, my name is Dan Hochhalter and I am a professional musician and songwriter. I grew up in White Bear Lake, MN, but have been living in Nashville since 2002. Currently, you can find me playing fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and banjo on the road with Dierks Bentley.

People always ask me what it’s like to be out on tour playing music for a living, so I started this blog to provide a little peek behind the curtain in hopes of answering that question. In the coming weeks, there will be plenty of fun and interesting stuff for musicians, hobbyists, and fans alike. We’ll talk about music, gear, travel, nutrition, and whatever else comes up along the way. I’ll keep you guys filled in on the latest tour happenings, and share some of what I’ve learned during my past 12+ years on the road. It’s gonna be awesome, and I’m glad that you’re here.

Follow me on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to stay in the loop.
